EYES WIDE OPEN

GOOOOD MOOORRNIING!
haha you would think buy saying good morning like that it would actually be a good morning. but the truth is.. its a typical Monday morning here. anyywwwhhoo. i don't know about you guys but lately i have been having these heavy bags under my eyes.. all the time and are slowly turning into dark circles. pshh needless to say i hate them. came upon this article but a new makeup that helps cover them up read on if your interested. ohh! and i hope all of you had a great weekend!

Stressed out? Been burning the candle at both ends? You can only have so many long days and late nights before developing dark circles under your eyes. You might even suffer from permanent discoloration, the result of poor skin tone or pigmentation.

The good news is that French makeup brand Laura Mercier has come up with a solution that means you can wave goodbye to those dark shadows. It's called the Under Eye Perfecter and the textured, easy-to-apply cream comes in two colours: orange and mauve. You finish off with Concealer and Secret Brightening Powder.

"Celebrities attending Laura Mercier events always ask me how to conceal tired-looking eyes," says the brand's global makeup artist, Michel Colombe, during a recent workshop in Bangkok.

Colombe explains that there are three easy steps to a perfect look. The first is to choose the colour that is best suited to your skin tone. "Orange works best for dark circles that look grey to greenish while mauve works on red to purple shading," says Colombe.

Once you've selected the colour, apply the cream gently around the edge of the eyes using Laura Mercier's secret camouflage brush until the skin colour looks even.

"In the old days, makeup artists used to mix lipstick colours to create a perfect shade to suit to the skin tones under the eyes, but lipstick has a lot of oil so it gives the skin an oily sheen," he says.

Step two is to hide the dark circles with Laura Mercier's Secret Concealer, a moisture-rich and vitamin-enriched product that's easy to blend and leaves the sensitive skin moist and soft. Apply with the brush then press the spot gently with a finger.

Finish off with a touch of Secret Brightening Powder applied with the secret camouflage powder brush to complete step three. The powder, which contains micronised pigments, will leave the skin looking radiant and natural. Colombe warns against using it on the whole face, though. "It's designed only for the area that needs lightening," he cautions.

With 12 years experience in the fashion industry, Colombe stresses the importance of moisturising the skin before putting on makeup. "Choose your products carefully and remember if your skin care routine does not include sufficient moisturiser, the concealer will be hard to blend and create an uneven tones on the skin."
